Job Description
As a Senior Java Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend systems.
Key Responsibilities
System Design and Development
- Design and implement high-performance, scalable, and secure backend services using Java and related technologies.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define system requirements and deliverables.
- Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability through code reviews and testing.
Database Management
- Design and optimize database schemas to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Implement and maintain data models and database queries using SQL databases.
API Development
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support front-end functionality and third-party integrations.
- Ensure APIs are secure, efficient, and well-documented.
Performance Optimization
- Monitor and optimize system performance to handle increasing load and data volume.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and other system issues.
Collaboration and Mentorship
Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and design discussions.
Requirements
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Java.
- Proven experience in designing and developing large-scale, high-performance systems.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in Java and related frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.).
- Microservices: experience with developing and maintaining Microservices.
- Proficiency in database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, etc.).
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
- Previous background implementing Unit Tests, Clean Architecture, OAuth2, TDD, BDD, Design Patterns.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS).

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
